Follow the Pythagorean theorem which is
a^(2) + b^(3) = c^(2)

So fill in what we know which is a and b to get

6^(2) + 8^(2) = c^(2)
then solve the squares to get
36+64=
c^(2)
add the two numbers to get
100=
c^(2)
then square root each side to get
10=c
