What is the answer to 2n+3=53

So what you're trying to do is isolate the variable (get it by itself). So you would look at the symbol in front of the numbee alone (+3) so do the opposite of the given operation (do subtraction). 3-3 is 0. ALWAYS REMEMBER: WHAT YOU DO TO ONE SIDE, YOU DO TO THE OTHER!! Subtract 3 from 53. So you're left with 2n=50. Now the opposite of multiplication is division. So now you divide 2 by 2 which cancels out and you're left with n. Always do what you do on one side to the other so, divide 50 by 2. NOW THE ANSWER IS n= 25 :)

1. Subtract 3 to both sides


2n + 3 - 3 = 53 - 3


2n = 50

2. Divide 2 to both sides


(2n)/(2) = (50)/(2)


n = 25
