Consider the reaction xM + yN _ products

This reaction was run 10 times with different volumes of the two reactant solutions and the temperature change was measured. The two solutions have the same concentration and the total volume mixed together for all 10 reactions was the same. The reaction that had the largest temperature change was the one when 26.4 mL of M were mixed with 6.6 mL of N. What is the value of the coefficient x in the balanced equation? Enter your answer as an integer.

The value of the coefficient x in the balanced equation can be calculated as :

x/y = 26.4[mL]/6.6[mL]
x/y = 4
