1. Kim's age is twice that of her sister. When you add Kim's age to her sister's age, you get 36. How old is each sister?

I think I know but I just don't know how I should write my equation

Kim's age = 2x Sister's Age
Kim's age + Sister = 36

We can write this equation:
2s + s = 36
3s = 36
3s/3 = 36/3
s = 12

Kim is 12, and her sister is 36.
