molar mass:

Zn = 65.38 g/mol
ZnO = 81.408 g/mol

2 Zn(s) + O₂(g) = 2 ZnO(s)

2 x 65.38 g Zn ------------- 2 x 81.408 g ZnO
2.50 g Zn ------------------- ( mass of ZnO )

mass of ZnO = 2.50 x ( 2 x 81.408 ) / ( 2 x 65.38 )

mass of ZnO = 407.04 / 130.76

= 3.112 g of ZnO
