what is the rule for

8 units to the left, 2 units up

the rule is

(x,y) --------> (x-8,y+2)

the rule 6 units to the right , 4 units down

the rule is

(x,y) ------> (x+6,y-4)

Remember that

if the translation is at right is x+

if the translation is at left is x-

if the translation is up y+

if the translation is down is y-

The rule for the reflection across the x-axis is equal to

(x,y) --------> (x,-y)

Find the coordinates of triangle JKL

looking at the graph

J(-4,2)

K(2,5)

L(8,4)

Apply the rule

J(-4,2) ------- J'(-4,-2)

K(2,5) -------- K'(2,-5)

L(8,4) -------> L(8,-4)

Part c

Triangle JKL and triangle J'K'L' are congruent
