This is a problem on experimental probability.

The probability from the sample of selecting a faulty MP3 is

Pr(\text{faulty Mp3)=}(7)/(50)

We can also use this as a guess to how many are likely to be defective from the whole sample.

It will also be ;

\begin{gathered} (7)/(50)*2000 \\ =280\text{ MP3s} \end{gathered}

Therefore, 280 MP3s are likely to be defective in the shipment.
