Geography made it easier for colonists to see what was more beyond the lands they had settled in. They could also explore and learn what was new to them also noting down everything to share.

Answer:

Since the colonists were arriving in America by sea, most settlement tended to start from the coasts.

Step-by-step explanation:

For example the connecticut and New Netherland ( later New York) colonies were based around the connecticut and Hudson river respectively.

These same rivers served as a way to effectively and efficiently transport goods and news from the coasts into the hinterland.
