A long year-end status report for work is 136 pages long. You need to print 19 copies for a meeting next week. Howmuch is the paper going to cost for those reports? Paper is sold in reams (500 pages) for $3.80 each. Give your answer tothe nearest cent, only for the paper you use (partial reams are OK).

We need to print 19 copies of the year-end status report, that is 136 pages long.

Let's find the total of pages we will print:

136 * 19 = 2,584

Now we know that every ream has 500 pages.

For calculating the number of reams, we divide the total pages we need to print between the number of pages a ream has.

2,584 / 500 = 5.168

The exercise tells us that partial reams are accepted.

Then for calculating the price of the reams we need, we multiply this way:

5.168 * 3.80 = 19.6384

Rounding to the next cent:

$ 19.64
