Alcoholic fermentation:

Equation: glucose --> ethanol + carbon dioxide + little amount of energy

Lactic fermentation:

Equation : glucose ---> lactic acid + little energy

Lactate fermentation occurs in the muscle whereas alcoholic fermentation occurs in yeast.
Lactate fermentation does not release carbon dioxide, while alcoholic fermentation does.
