To find the continuous extension of a discontinuous function, we try to remove the discontinuous factor. In this case:
f(x) = (x² - 9)/(x + 3)
= (x + 3)(x - 3)/(x + 3)
= (x - 3)
Value at x = -3:
-3 - 3 = -6
