Let's see how smart this community is :-)

Michelle had 200 coins. However, Michael had c times the amount that Michelle had. How many coins does Michael have?

BTW letters go by numbers! ex. 8 = h ;-)

If Michelle has 200 coins, and Michael's amount of coins is C which is the variable and 8 = h. You're tricking us because h is actually c, therefore the equation would look like this

200 x 8 = 1600

So Michael has 1600 coins.

Yeah however C does not have a given value even though you gave an example of 8. every variable is 1 even when raised to the second power since 1 * 1. So c * 200 or 1 * 200 = 200 so they both have the same amount.
