The remainder when it is divided is 2

Here, we want to find the remainder when the polynomial is divided by the given linear factor

What we have to do here is to set the linear factor to zero, get the value for x and substitute it into the polynomial

Thus, we have it that;

\begin{gathered} x\text{ - 2 = 0} \\ \\ x\text{ = 0 + 2 = 2} \\ \\ So\text{ we have;} \\ \\ 2^3-2(2)-2\text{ = 8-4-2 = 2} \end{gathered}
