Answer:

The Puritans decided to separate because they saw much of Catholic practices and beliefs in the Church of England. They believed that there was a need to reform in the England Church. They were the members of a religious group known for its strict beliefs. By seeing that they could not succeed they formed a new religious group which could follow their beliefs without interfering the Church of England.
