Given a parallelogram ABCD,

Since it is a parallelogram,

$\begin{gathered} \bar{AB}=\bar{CD} \\ \bar{AD}=\bar{BC} \end{gathered}$

Also,

$\bar{AB}\parallel\bar{CD}$

Therefore, the line segment parallel to CD passing through A , must fall on AB.
