Since it is a parallelogram,


\begin{gathered} \bar{AB}=\bar{CD} \\ \bar{AD}=\bar{BC} \end{gathered}

Also,


\bar{AB}\parallel\bar{CD}

Therefore, the line segment parallel to CD passing through A , must fall on AB.
