We know that the equation area is:


A\text{ = }\pi r^2

and we also know that the diameter is


\begin{gathered} d\text{ = 2r} \\ r\text{ = }(d)/(2) \end{gathered}

So in this case we have that


\begin{gathered} A\text{ = }\pi\cdot(8m)^2 \\ =\pi\cdot64\operatorname{cm}=201.06cm^2 \\ \cong\text{ 201}cm^2 \end{gathered}

The answer is: 201cm2
