If v varies with t², then equation is,

\begin{gathered} v\propto t^2 \\ v=kt^2 \end{gathered}

Here, k is constant.

Substitute 6 for v and 8 for t in the equation to determine the value of constant k.

\begin{gathered} 6=k(8)^2 \\ 6=64k \\ k=(6)/(64) \end{gathered}

The value of constant k is 6/64. So equation for v is,

v=(6)/(64)t^2
