Plant cell

If a cell was observed under the microscope and found to have a rigid cell wall and be green in color that cell is most likely a plant cell.

A plant cell is an eukaryotic cell that contains a nucleus and organelles that are enclosed by a thick and rigid cell wall. Several organelles that perform various functions can be found in the plant cell. The organelles include; cell membrane, cell wall, cytoplasm, chloroplast, nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, ribosomes, vacuole, Golgi apparatus, mitochondria, and peroxisomes. The chloroplast organelle contains chlorophyll which converts sunlight to energy during photosynthesis, and it is also responsible for the green colour of plant cells.
