Distribute the 3 into (x-7). This will get you:

3x-21-x=2x-21

Next, combine like terms:

2x-21=2x-21

You cannot have an x on both sides of the equation, so you have to subtracts 2x on both sides

-21=-21

The answer to 14 is C because no matter what number x is, the equations will always be equal to each other


15)
3+6z=13+6z

You cannot have z on both sides of the equation, so you have to subtract 6z from both sides-

3=13

The answer to 15 would be d because both sides of the equation will never equal each other, just like 3 does not equal 13
