why do you think there was much tension and violence against African Americans in urban areas in the 1910 and 1920?

Answer:

The tension between POC and white people was because humans are naturally wary of things that are different, or out of the norm, this goes for racial issues, lgbt issues, religious issues, and many people fear certain medicine and food because it’s “unnatural”.

Because so many people thought of black people(African Americans) as of being just slaves still and thought that we should not be treated like everyone else such as White people should get treated. Some White people lived in urban areas and fidnt like that African Americans should live in that area or even stable homes. White people already thought that African Americans shouldnt have any rights. Hope this helps
