Dolbear’a law states the relationship between the rate at which snowy tree crickets chirp and the air temperature of their environment. Formula N-40/4 Where T us a temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and N is a number of chirps per minute. If n = 98 , find the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit, T.

Given:

The formula is,

T=50+(N-40)/(4)

T is temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and temperature in degrees Fahrenheit.

\begin{gathered} \text{For N=98} \\ T=50+(N-40)/(4) \\ =50+(98-40)/(4) \\ =50+(58)/(4) \\ =((50*4)+58)/(4) \\ =(258)/(4) \\ =(129)/(2) \\ =64.5 \end{gathered}

Answer: temperature is 64.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
