First Find slope by using
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(4-6)/(-2-2) = (-2)/(-4) = (1)/(2)

Now use point Slope form to find the equation of the line (y-y₁)=m(x-x₁)
(y-6)=
(1)/(2)(x-2)
y-6=
(1)/(2) x-1
y=
(1)/(2) x+5 is your equation
