Mr Mendoza and his 23 students are planning to have a hot dog at their class picnic. He can buy hot dogs in packages of 12 and hot dog buns in packages of 8.

a) Mr Mendoza wants everyone to get the same number of hot dogs and buns with no leftover. What is the least number of packages of buns Mr Mendoza can buy? How many hot dog buns will each person get?

b) Suppose that the class invites the principal, the secretary, the bus driver, and three parents to help supervise. How many packages of hot dogs and buns will Mr. Mendoza need to buy so that everyone will get the same number of hot dogs and buns with no leftovers? How many hot dogs and buns will each person get?

a) There are 24 (including mr Mendoza) people in all so..... 24÷12= 2 so he will need 2 packs of Hotdogs. 24÷8=3 so he will need 3 packs of buns. So every one will have 1 hot dog and 1 bun.

b) Now there are 30 people so .. 120÷12=10 so he will need 10 packs of hot dogs.. 120÷8=15 so he will need 15 packs of buns.. And every one will get 120÷30=4 Hotdogs each with no leftovers
