Hence 10x+24 + 60 - 2x = 180

10x-2x+24+60 = 180

8x + 84 = 180

8x = 180 - 84

8x = 96

x = 96/8

Similarly;

16y-40+14y+10 = 180

16y+14y-40+10 = 180

30y - 30 = 180

30y = 180 + 30

30y = 210

y = 210/30

y = 7

Hence the value of (x,y) is (12, 7)
