Distilled water is devoid of any solutes. It contains no additional gases, minerals, or contaminants. Would it be right to give a person an IV (intravenous) therapy of distilled water?

Distilled water is hypotonic in comparison to the cells and fluid of your body and it could cause a number of dangerous ramifications, such as harsh electrolyte imbalances. It might be fatal to a person to give distilled water intravenously since by osmosis, it would flow rapidly into the cells, diluting all the microelements and minerals. Possibly, if you will be infused with it, you would probably die. So the answer is No.
