Answer

Price of 1 sweater = $15.9

Price of 1 shirt = $7.8

Step-by-step explanation

Let the price of a sweater be x

Let the price of a shirt be y

one sweater and 4 shirts cost $47

x + 4y = 47 (eqn 1)

4 sweaters and 3 shirts cost $87

4x + 3y = 87 (eqn 2)

So, this gives us a simultaneous equation

x + 4y = 47

4x + 3y = 87

which on solving gives

x = (207/13) = 15.9

y = (101/13) = 7.8

Hope this Helps!!!
