For the equation y= 2x-4 you have to determine the rate of change.

This measurement indicates how much the values of y change each time x varies one unit and is also called the slope of the function.

For any linear function the slope is the coefficient multiplied to the x-term, for this function the slope/ rate of change is equal to 2
