The area of a rectangle can be calculated as the product of the width and length

A=wl

From this expression, you can calculate the width, by dividing both sides of it by the length

\begin{gathered} (A)/(l)=(wl)/(l) \\ (A)/(l)=w \end{gathered}

If the area is A=104cm² and the length is 8cm, the width is:

\begin{gathered} w=(A)/(l) \\ w=(104)/(8) \\ w=13 \end{gathered}

The width of the rectangle is 13cm
