Combine like terms: 18 + -9 = 99 + 8x + -1x = 0
Combine like terms: 8x + -1x = 7x9 + 7x = 0
Solving9 + 7x = 0
Solving for variable 'x'.
Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.
Add '-9' to each side of the equation.9 + -9 + 7x = 0 + -9
Combine like terms: 9 + -9 = 00 + 7x = 0 + -97x = 0 + -9
Combine like terms: 0 + -9 = -97x = -9
Divide each side by '7'.x = -1.285714286
Simplifyingx = -1.285714286
