7/8 is equal to 14/16; so if one statue requires 1/16 gal. of paint, she has enough to paint 14 statues.

we know that

Each statue requires
1/16 of a gallon of paint

so

by proportion

Find how many statues can she paint with
7/8 of a gallon of paint

(1)/((1/16)) (statue)/(gallons) =(x)/((7/8)) (statue)/(gallons) \\ \\ x=((7/8))/((1/16)) \\ \\x=7*16/8 \\ \\x=14\ statues

therefore

the answer is

14\ statues
