What is the equation for a line that has an x- intercept of negative six and a slope of negative one over two?

Use slope intercept form to solve this. This is y=mx+b. mx= slope. and b= Y intercept. Because you are given the x intercept, you would need to solve for the y intercept. The y intercept after graphing this is -3. So plug in this information into the formula. Your answer is y=-1/2x-3
