Given:

Before enlarging:

rectangle's height = 4 in

rectangle's width = 1 in.

After enlarging:

rectangle's width = 4 in.

If the dilation is uniform, both height and width will be multiplied by 4. Hence:

height = 4 x 4 = 16 in

ANSWER

16 inches.
