To solve this problem, we would like to calculate the probability of Nguyen to draw a vegetable soup. To do so, we will calculate the probabiliy by taking all posibilities that make the fact "drawing a vegetable soup" true and divide it byt the total number of posibilities whenever you draw a soup.

If we count all cans of soup, there are 12 cans. That means that at random, we have a total of 12 posibilities of choosing a can. However, only 3 cans are veggie soup. So, we have only 3 possibilities of choosing a veggie soup.

This means that the probability of choosing a veggie soup is

(3)/(12)=(3)/(3\cdot4)=(1)/(4)
