Distributive Property

Explanation:

3(x-4)=2x+7

Using Distributive property on left hand side we get

3*x-3*4 = 2x+7

3x-12=2x+7

Now we bring all the terms to one side of the equation, make sure we change sign while moving them to other side of =

3x-12-2x-7=0

Now bring the terms with x together and constant terms also

3x-2x -12-7=0

Simplifying the above polynomial

x-19=0

Now we add 19 on both sides

x-19+19=0+19

x-0=19

Hence x=19
