3.) calculate diameter/height = 20/22.5 = 0.889
now multiply 8 feet by 0.889 = 7.11 feet diameter

The diameter is the length of the line through the center that touches two points on the edge of the circle. A diameter is really just made up of two radii.

Therefore, the diameter d of a circle is twice the radius r:

Formula : diameter/height = 20/22.5 = 0.889

0.889 * 8 = 7.11 feet diameter
