Example:

GCF of 6 and 9


6 = 2*3\\9 = 3*3

Greates Common factor = 3, which is a prime number.

GCF of 24 and 36


24 = 2*2*2*3\\36 = 2*2*3*3

Greatest Common Factor = 12, which is a composite number.
