The height of a triangle is 2 inches less than the base. The area of the triangle is 180 in squared. What are the dimensions of the triangle

A=h*b/2

180 =(b-2)*b/2

360 = b^2-2b

b^2 -2b -360 =0

D = 4+1440 = 1444

b_1,2 = (2+/-sqrt1444)/2 = -18 and 20

base length equal 20 in

height equal 18 in
