Explain why is takes longer to hard boil an egg at high altitudes than at sea level.

Answer: Due to low pressure of air at high altitudes.

Explanation:

At high altitudes, the air pressure is very low due to low density of air molecules as compared to air pressure at sea level. Thus, water boils at higher temperature. It takes more time for water to boil and that is why an egg at high altitudes takes longer to hard boil than at sea level.
