clyde makes a copy of an 8 in. x 10 in. photo, reducing it to 3/4 of its size. what are the dimensions of the new photo?

Clyde should have applied the power of a power rule and multiplied the exponents instead of adding them. The simplified form should be j to the 16th power.

To get the reduced dimensions we have to multiply each dimension by 3/4 factor, so

8 (3)/(4)= 2(3)/(1)=6 - first dim

10* (3)/(4)= (30)/(4)=7.5 -second dim
Answer is 6x7.5
