$x+y=11\\ x+1=3y\ \ \ \ --->\ \ \ \ x=3y-1\\\\ 3y-1+y=11\\ 4y-1=11\ \ \ | add\ 1\\ 4y=12\ \ \ | divide\ by\ 4\\ y=3\\\\ x=8\\\\ Original\ number \ is\ 83.$
