Emerson liked to use emotional diction which it brought and enlightened the fire of the people's passion to let them re-examine or reflect in their own educational philosophies and approaches. It is known that writers do not create emotions, they appeal to it. And that's what Emerson did.

Also, another appeal to pathos was when he pushes the respect that we must give to every child which on page 102 para. 1 and 2. There is another which would be his conclusion which is on page 108.
