Absolute value = 2
You have to count the number of spaces over from 0 the point is. Whether it is positive or negative 2 the absolute value will always be positive 2.

Absolute value describes the distance of a number on the number line from 0 without considering which direction from zero the number lies.That is why, the absolute value of a number is never negative.. From the image, I believe the absolute value of point P would be 1. Hope this answers the question.
