The answer to this question is 1 because if you find a common denominator and multiply the same on the top and add it, it comes out to 1.

u can make 3 pieces. make 1/4 into eighths (do 1/4 x 2 which is 2/8). 2/8 + 2/8 + 2/8 (or 2/8 x 3) is 6/8. yay!!
