I have 2 questions:

1) A student claims that 8 to the third power times 8 to the negative fifth power is greater than 1. Explain whether the student is correct or not.
2) List three ways to express 3 to the fifth power as a product of powers.
These are my last two Pre-Algebra questions I need help with!

For the first question, I think it's he is not correct because there is a negative number so it can't be greater than one
