Question 5.

Given:

• A ==> (7, 2)

,

• A' ==> (11, 2)

Let's locate and mark the possible centers of rotation.

Apply the rules of rotation:

Rotation about the x-axis: (x, y) ==> (x, -y)

Rotation about the y-axis: (x, y) ==> (-x, y)

Hence, we have:

• By rotation about the x-axis, we have:

Image of coordinates of A ==> (7, -2)

Image of coordinates of A' ==> (11, -2)

• By rotation about the y-axis, we have:

Image of coordinates of A ==> (-7, 2)

Image of coordinates of A' ==> (-11, 2)
