Solve the system of equations by substitution

y= 7x-10
y=-3

y = 7x - 10 . . . (1)
y = -3 . . . (2)

Putting (2) into (1) gives:
-3 = 7x - 10
7x = -3 + 10q = 7
x = 7/7 = 1

Therefore, solution = (1, -3)
