i would say
y = -0.2857142857 if my calculator is right then that is the right awnser

reember you can do anything to an equaiton as long as you do it it both sides
get y by itself
first simplify
4y-6y+9y=-2
add like terms
4-6+9=-2+9=7
7y=-2
divideboth sides by 7
y=-2/7
