We have to find the probability of landing on a 4 and then landing on an even number.

We can divide this into two events that both have to happen. They are independent events so we can express this as:

P(4\&E)=P(4)\cdot P(E)

The probability of obtaining a 4 in the first spin is 1/4 as there is only one successful outcome (getting a 4) out of 4 possible outcomes. All outcomes have the same probability so we don't need to calculate probabilities of each one.

The probability of obtaining an even number in the second spin is 2/4 = 1/2, as we have two successful outcomes (getting a 4 and getting a 6) out of 4 possible outcomes.

Then, we can calculate the probabilty of both events as:

P(4\&E)=P(4)\cdot P(E)=(1)/(4)\cdot(1)/(2)=(1)/(8)

Answer: The probability is 1/8.
