Answer:

The measure of the complement is 44 degrees.

Explanation:

An angle, and it's complement, add up to 90.

So I am going to call the angle x, and it's complement, 90 - x.

The measure of the angle is 2 degrees greater than its complement.

This means that:

x = 2 + (90 - x)

x = 2 + 90 - x

x = 92 - x

x + x = 92

2x = 92

x = 92/2

x = 46

The angle is 46 and the complement is 90 - x = 90 - 46 = 44.

The measure of the complement is 44 degrees.
