Sulfur has 6 Valence electrons so it would be easier to get 2 rather than lose 6, right. It will try to gain two electrons from a chemical reaction. I don't know what the question means by "write it's valence". I can draw a "valence shell diagram" I have attached the Valence Shell Diagram of sulfur to this answer. I hope this Helps.
